Filandro Silva
July 31, 1951 ~ March 1, 2020

Filandro Silva, 68, of Ponca City, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, March 6, 2020, and from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Trout Funeral Home. No services are planned at this time.

Filandro, also known as, "The Squirrel Man", was born on July 31, 1951 in Yepomera, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Eraclio and Beatriz (Bermudez) Silva. Filandro owned and operated Silva Tree Trimming Service until his death. He was a hard worker, and loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle and taking his squirrels on bike rides through the neighborhood.

Filandro is survived by Angela Silva, of Ponca City; children, Fonda Whittaker and her husband, Bryce, of Magnolia, Texas, son, Odin Silva of Ponca City, OK, Fidias Silva and his wife, Elaine, of Marlow,OK, Agustin Silva of Arkansas City, KS; grandchildren, Carson Whittaker, Aeson Silva, Cyrek Silva, "Lexi"; 1 sister and 3 brothers; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Filandro Silva, II, and his parents.
