Larry Barton Siegel

December 19, 1946 ~ February 3, 2008

Siegel, Larry Barton, 61, of Norman, went to be with the Lord February 3, 2008 at his residence. Born December 19, 1946 in Booneville, Missouri to Glen and Emogene Siegel.

He was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church during the early years of his life and in the later years he was a dearly loved member at St. John's Episcopal Church, where he co-founded the Men's Group.

Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother and his beloved friend Mike Groves.

Left with his loving memories is his wife Evon, children Jeff, Angie, Travis, Kyle, and Sarah, his mother in-law Ellen, his sister Theresa and her husband Aubrey, his sister in-law Judy and her husband Frank, his sister in-law Debbie and her husband Russell, his brother in-law George, his grandchildren Hunter, Bailey, and Jarrett, nieces and nephews David and his wife Anna, Kristin, Brian, Matthew, Carlee, and Tressa Evon, and his great-nephew Frankie.

Larry Siegel was truly a special human being who touched so many lives in his time on this Earth. Larry had an amazing gift for making everyone he came in contact with feel loved. No matter the situation, no matter how sick he felt, he never lost his sense of humor. We were all blessed to know him. Larry loved to tell stories about his days growing up in Midwest City. He loved to fish, play golf, ride his motorcycles, and play poker. While we are saddened to lose such a wonderful man, heaven has gained a dynamic spirit that will shine brightly for eternity. He lived his life with purpose and left this earth with no regrets. He will serve as an inspiration for all who knew him and his life will be celebrated by all of us.

The funeral will be held on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 2:00pm at St. John's Episcopal Church in Norman. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Larry.
