Max Alan Sides

Max Alan Sides
June 1, 1959 ~ November 1, 2017

Max Alan Sides, of Duncan, was born June 1, 1959 to Walter Alan and Frankie Lanell Sides. He passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, November 1, at the age of 58.

A "Celebration of Life" is scheduled for Saturday, November 4, at the Freedom Biker Church with Rev. Billy Morgan and Rev. Bill Rowell officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

He graduated from the Rankin, Texas public school system and then attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. He married Thelma Jeanice Tipton on October 30, 1980 in Duncan. 

Max was strong in his faith and loved working at the church property south of Duncan. He was always helping others with repairs to their homes. He enjoyed playing dominoes and spades.

Max is survived by his wife, Jeanice; his son, Tony and wife Krystal Sides; his father, Walter Alan Sides; two brothers and their families, Mark and Stephanie Sides and sons Matthew and Mitchell, and Scott and Kristie Sides and sons Jeramy and Zachary; and his faithful dog, Charlie.

He was preceded in death by his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, Kristopher, Jennifer, and Bryce Alan Sides; and his mother, Frankie Sides.

Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
