October 5, 1980 ~ April 8, 2021

Ronny Shurtz, 40 year old former Woodward resident, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 in Fort Myers, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be broadcast live on the funeral home Facebook page and the funeral home website.

Ronald Wayne Shurtz was born on October 5, 1980 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Richard Wayne Jr and Cindi Rayann (Pratt) Shurtz. Ronny grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School. He was united in marriage to Robin Aguirre on August 12, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They made their first home in New Orleans, Louisiana before moving to Fort Myers, Florida. Ronny worked as a CNA, CMA, and a Bartender and enjoyed helping people.

He enjoyed gardening, being on the beach, going to thrift stores, nature walks, camping, and he loved spending time with his fur babies.

He is survived by his husband Robin Aguirre of the home in Fort Myers, Florida; his parents, Wayne and Cindi Shurtz of Woodward; mother-in-law, Jewell McCarly; his fur babies: Roxie, Bella, and Phoebe; grandparents: Norma Miller, Jim and Jean Pratt; brothers and their spouses, Ryan Shurtz, Bryan and Tamara Shurtz; brothers-in-law, James, Allen and Mark McCarly; sister, Kortni Johnson; nieces and nephews: Layne Shurtz, Brody Shurtz, Ryan Shurtz, Adalyn Shurtz, Kaylee Frazier, Preslee Johnson; aunts, uncles, and cousins: Sandra Shurtz, Megan, Morgan and Devin, Cindy Pratt, Cody, Cole and Jesse, Debbie Galvin, Cathy Dykes, Steve McKnight; numerous other relatives and many friends.

Ronny was preceded in death by his beloved fur baby Shasta, grandparents: Richard and Mary Shurtz, Bev Miller, Vern and Clara Burgess, John and Othilia Peacock, Fred and Irene Aguirre, Bill McCarly , Aunt Gina Riemann, and his Uncle Ronny Pratt, who he was very close too.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
