Hubert Hollis Shrader

August 25, 1944 ~ April 3, 2007

Hubert Hollis Shrader, age 66, also known as "Sonny" to his Loving family passed away on April 3, 2007. He was born August 25, 1944 in Ninnekah, OK to Hubert Mitchell Shrader and Bertha Ford-Shrader.

Following graduation from Chickasha High School, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Crow and U.S.S. Bryce Canyon.

Hubert married Maria C. Aguilar, in Los Angeles, California in 1964.

In 1969, Hubert and Maria moved back to his beloved Oklahoma and found a little town called Yukon to call home. He owned and operated Shrader Tool Co. until his retirement in 2001.

He is survived by his wife Maria of 43 years; son Eric Shrader, daughter Sonia Shrader-Hayes and son-in-law Scott Hayes; four grandchildren David Shrader, Amanda Hayes, Audrey Hayes, and Andrea Hayes; sisters Phyllis Shrader-King, Bethany, OK, Zada Shrader-Eakes, Newalla, OK, Mary Jo Oxford-Bennett, Bakersfield, CA, Geneva Oxford-Camp, Chickasha, OK; and brother Henry Shrader, Ashboro, NC, and a great many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lawrence H. Oxford, Herchel G. Oxford, and Ernest R. Shrader.

His gentle and kindly loving spirit will be greatly missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday April 9, 2007 at the Waterloo Nazarene Church, 457 West Waterloo Rd, Edmond, OK, 405-341-2751

Services are under the direction of Smith & Kernke Funeral Home.
