Eva Lois (Lindsey) Shook

Eva Lois (Lindsey) Shook
May 11, 1939 ~ February 26, 2023

Eva Lois Shook, age 83 passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Lois was born in Pocasset, Oklahoma to Millard and Emmaline Lindsey. She was married to her husband, Orvel Shook, until his passing in 2015. Together they owned and operated a grocery store in Covington, OK called L & O Market. Most people who knew Lois would agree that being a nurse was her calling, and she was very good at it, having such a kind and caring personality. She worked at Perry Memorial Hospital in Perry, OK for 32 years, and she worked as a nurse for 50+ years overall. After retiring from nursing, she decided that retirement didn’t suit her, so she decided to work at Sam's Club as a greeter. She liked to stay busy at home, also, and enjoyed working in the garage and cooking, and everyone loved her homemade pies and strawberry jam.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Emmaline Lindsey; her husband, Orvel Shook; brother Roy Lee Lindsey; sister Etta Carolyn Savage (husband Donald); and sister-in-law Patsy Lindsey.

She is survived by three children, Bruce Shook (wife Lynn), Camilla Fisher, and Bre Shook; eight grandchildren, Jake Shook (wife Kaitlyn), Mackenzie Shook, Macy Shook, Bailey Shook, Chrystopher Fisher (wife Katey), Anna Fisher, Remi Fisher, and Aiden Fisher; siblings, Millard Don Lindsey and Katherine Elizabeth Kaiser (husband Max Kaiser); sister-in-law Judy Lindsey; and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service for Lois will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Country Estates Baptist Church, 1000 S. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, OK.
