Kyle Emmerson Shockley
Aug. 30, 1981 ~ Aug. 4, 2015

Kyle Emmerson Shockley, 33, of Ponca City, Okla., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, in Ponca City. He was born Aug. 30, 1981, in Enid, Okla., the son of Kim Shockley and Kelly Emmerson.

Kyle was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1999, a former scoring title champion of the Enid City Basketball League, a poet and a very successful car salesman. He will be remembered forever for his love of literature, music, and sports, in particular, all things OU Athletics.

Kyle showed a passion and vigor in everything he did in life, and his competitive drive and confidence were inspirational.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Stittsworth Memory Chapel, with Kyle�s childhood friend, Associate Pastor Joseph Drueke officiating.

Kyle is survived by his parents, mother and step-father Steve and Kelly Trent of Enid; his father, Kim Shockley of Enid; two brothers, David Trent of Annapolis, Md., and Brian Trent of Norman, Okla.; grandparents, Jack and Jean Shockley of Enid; and Joan Barbare of Kansas City, Mo.

The family has selected Our Daily Bread, or Wounded Warriors Project as appropriate for memorial donations, with the Stittsworth�s coordinating.
