Anthony William "Tony" Shirley

Anthony William "Tony" Shirley
January 20, 1969 ~ November 24, 2021

Anthony "Tony" William Shirley, son of Cheryl Czerniak and the late Anthony William Fiore II, was born January 20, 1969, in Topeka, Kansas, and passed away November 24, 2021, at his home in Nescatunga, Oklahoma, at 52 years of age following a short battle with cancer.

Anthony was born in Kansas; however, he was raised in Hammonton, New Jersey, for 18 years before finding his home in Burlington, Oklahoma, with his "Ma." Anyone who knew Anthony definitely knew he was all about reconnecting with his mom Cheryl. He made her the center of his world for many years.

Anthony had a passion for many things during his lifetime – football and music were just a couple of those passions. He loved both college and pro football, but more specifically, the Pittsburgh Steelers. That was his team since he was a young boy. Anyone who knew him could see the pride he carried for his team. He wore his Steelers Pride proudly, 365 days a year. He was a big "trash" talker when it came to football, but it was done in fun, of course. He knew all the plays, stats and records of the teams he followed. He taught his mom, his sister, and his nephews all about the sport.

As much as Anthony loved football, he equally loved music. He shared that love of music with his family and friends.

Anthony had such a contagious personality that was loved about him. He was a very hard worker. He could work just as hard, if not harder, than people half his age, and yet still would find time to help others out.

In 2020, Anthony met the love of his life, Mandy, and on August 1, 2020, they were married.

Anthony was preceded in death by both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents, many aunts and uncles, as well as other various relatives and friends.

Anthony is survived by his wife Mandy of Nescatunga, Oklahoma; his mother, Cheryl Czerniak and stepfather, Raymond Czerniak of Amorita, Oklahoma; his brother, William Anthony Fiore Sr. (Donna) of New Jersey; his sister, Kristina Czerniak (Troy) of Kiowa, Kansas; his nephews and nieces, Chance Czerniak (Jessica) of Alva; Brayden Thomas of Oklahoma City; Zachary Thomas of Winfield, Kansas; William Fiore Jr., Stefani Fiore-Rodriguez, and Taylor Fiore, all of New Jersey.

It was his wish that he be cremated. However, at this time, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life is being planned for the spring.
