Pauline Inez "Polly" (Damron) Warren Shipman

September 20, 1923 ~ September 10, 2011

Pauline "Polly" Warren Shipman, 87, of Midwest City passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011. Polly was born September 20, 1923 to Loni and Ginny Damron in Elk City, Oklahoma.

She married Neil Elmo Warren on January 3, 1939 and they had three daughters together, Paula Jone in January 1940, LaRena Diane (Sue) in August 1942 and Amanda Jo in April 1952. Neil passed away August 6, 1966.

Polly married Billy D. Shipman February 28, 1976.

She worked as a beautician from 1960 to 2006, often helping her customers that weren"t able to get around by picking them up; doing their hair, and then driving them back home. She would also go to homebound customer"s houses and fix their hair at their homes. Polly was a doll collector, loving old, new, stuffed and ceramic dolls. She loved arts and crafts, sewing, growing a garden and sharing it"s bounty with neighbors, friends and family. Polly loved to dance and enjoyed going to the casino on occasion. She would always sing and whistle when going about her chores. Polly was a wonderful friend and loving mother and grandmother.

Polly was preceded in death by husbands Neil and Billy, her parents, three brothers and one sister.

She has nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Polly was loved by all that had the privilege of meeting her. She was not selfish but giving, not envious but grateful.
