Wesley Ray Shields

Wesley Ray Shields
March 3, 1970 ~ October 19, 2018

Wesley Ray Shields, 48 of Denison, Texas went home to be with the Lord on October 19th, 2018. Wes was born on March 3rd, 1970 to G.W. and Mary (Minyard) Shields.

He was a fun-loving man with a huge heart. If you knew Wes, you knew he loved his family, his cartoons, his music, and his dogs! Wes was a big kid at heart and wasn’t afraid to show it! He will be missed by all who knew him.

Wesley married his best friend Sissy Foerschler on April 2nd, 2007. Over the years he had been a cook at several restaurants in the area and really loved his new job and friends at Tanglewood!

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sissy Shields of Denison, Texas, son Ryan Cook and grandson Cole Cook of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, brother Chris Shields of Pottsboro, Texas, brother Derek and wife Tamara Shields of Denison, Texas, sister Jamie and husband Brad Miller of Sherman, Texas, as well as many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Wes had TONS of friends and will forever be a member of the Munson Street crew!

Wes was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents and man’s best friend, his dog Wood!

Memorial services will be held at American Legion in Denison, Texas on October 27th, 2018 from 12-3p.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma.
