William Eugene Shields

William Eugene Shields
August 30, 1948 ~ September 19, 2019

William Eugene Shields, 71, of Bartlesville, died Thursday in Bartlesville.

William was born the son of Herbert Eugene and Roxy (Johnson) Shields on August 30, 1948, in Tulsa, OK. After receiving his formal education William entered and served in the U.S. Army. During this time he was united in marriage with Martha Maxine Owens and they enjoyed 49 years of loving marriage. Two sons were born to this union: William and Adam. William Eugene attended barber school and worked in various barber shops in Tulsa for 40 years. In 2013 they moved to Bartlesville to be closer to family.

William is survived by his wife Martha of the home, and two sons Willian David Shields and Adam Wayne Shields.

No formal services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel in Bartlesville. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
