Lavon Lucille (Neumeyer) Shepherd

April 9, 1927 ~ September 29, 2003

Lavon Lucille Shepherd, born in Council Hill, Oklahoma on April 9, 1927, to John and Girtha Neumeyer went home to be with the Lord September 29, 2003, due to a fall and resulting brain hemorrhage.

Von devoted her life, all that she was and all that she had to the Lord, her family and friends. She served the Lord faithfully and impacted the lives of many young married people who now serve Him. She was a mentor of God's Word to many people.

She is survived by her precious daughter Linda Sue Shepherd in Anaheim, Ca. and two brothers, James & Don Neumeyer of Council Hill, OK. She served as a second mother to Mary Lynn Skidmore.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to all those who ministered to her. Special thanks goes to Dr. Denis Maddox who served as her primary care doctor for years and became her personal friend.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2003, at Valley Baptist Church, 4800 Fruitvale Avenue, Bakersfield, CA.
