Virginia Doris (Anderson) Shelton

September 18, 1929 ~ October 07, 2003

Virginia was born September 18, 1929, to Jess and Lessie Anderson, in Bristol, Oklahoma. She moved to California at the age of 6. In 1947, she met the love of her life, Roland Shelton. They were married in 1948 in Las Vegas, NV. Of their marriage came four beautiful children: Regina, Curtis, Blain and Galen; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roland; her children; and sister, Linda. She is preceded in death by her son, Galen Lee Shelton, 5 brothers and 2 grandchildren.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a wonderful person she was, and will always be in our hearts. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 9, 2003, from 4 - 8 p.m., at Mish Funeral Home. Graveside services on Friday, October 10, 2003, 11 a.m., at North Kern Cemetery in Delano, CA.
