Dallas Winter Sheffield

Dallas Winter Sheffield
November 5, 1988 ~ July 26, 2023

Dallas Winter Sheffield, 34, died in his Bethany, Oklahoma home on July 26, 2023. If you were lucky enough to be loved by Dallas, you knew unconditional love. It didn’t matter if you had style or a past, were young or old, rich or poor, he was a friend. He was quick to laugh and even quicker to forgive. He loved his family, his church, all things Star Wars, and relished being the photographer of the family. He was known for his epic storytelling and creative stream-of-consciousness writing.

Dallas was a lifelong resident of the Edmond/Oklahoma City area. Dallas graduated from Deer Creek High School in 2007 where he enjoyed every moment of marching band and prided himself on the number of instruments he played. His trumpet even made a cameo at his wedding. Dallas married Morgan Dugger of Lucedale, MS on April 30, 2017 and they welcomed their son Kai Winter Sheffield on April 24, 2022, who carries on his Daddy’s bright blue eyes and dimpled smile. Life wasn’t always easy for Dallas, but he faced every adversity and health issue with humor, love, and lots of smiles.

Dallas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Mary Frances Sheffield of Panama City, FL; and his grandmother, Mary D. Winter of Edmond, OK. He is survived by his wife, Morgan (Dugger) Sheffield and son, Kai Winter Sheffield of Bethany, OK; parents, Dennis and Mary LaureLyn (Winter) Sheffield of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Mary DeLyn (Sheffield) McBride and brother-in-law, Jonathan; nephew, Dawson and niece, KateLyn of Bixby, OK; brother, Dennis “Denny” Quitman Sheffield and sister-in-law, Shannon of Edmond, OK; grandfather, Laurel Quitman Winter of Edmond, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and honorary family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 am on Monday, July 31 at Putnam City Baptist Church, 11401 N Rockwell, OKC, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be given to Putnam City Baptist Church Kids Ministry or the Epilepsy Foundation.
