Audrey Inez (Cearley) Sheedy
July 3, 1940 ~ June 14, 2022

Audrey Inez Sheedy, 81, of Marietta, OK passed away on June 14, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, OK. Her journey in life began in Wichita Falls, TX on July 3, 1940, one of four girls born to Nellie Gertrude (Dryden) and Henry Lee Cearley.

Audrey grew up and attended school in Wichita Falls, TX. For the last 20 years, she has been a resident of Marietta and prior to that she lived in Ft. Worth, TX and Springer, OK. Audrey married the love of her life Jake Lee Sheedy on December 4, 1965, in Wichita Falls. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1975.

Audrey’s meticulous ways led her to her own residential cleaning service. She enjoyed going to the casino and socializing with her friends. Audrey was an avid reader. She always had a book nearby. Audrey’s greatest love was her family.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jake Sheedy, Jr. of Marietta; daughters, DeAnn McCoy and husband James of Granbury, TX and Susan Hill of Longview, TX; sister, Georgia Marie Sylvester of Arkansas; grandchildren, Jake “Little Jake” Sheedy, III; and great-grandchildren, Savanna Nicole Palmer, Jake Thomas Pelissier, and Jackson James Pelissier.

In addition to her husband and parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her sisters, Neltie Alene Cearley, and Neoma Faye Cearley.

No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.
