Bobby Laruth Shawn, 81 year old resident of Follet, TX, passed from this life on April 10, 2019 in Minneola, KS. Bobby was born May 6, 1937 in Concho, OK to Johnnie Bap and Beatrice Iola (Castill) Bruno. She was the fourth of six kids. She grew up in Maude, OK and attended school through the 9th grade. She was baptized and a member of the Catholic Church.

On November 3, 1954, Bobby married James Shawn in Koniwa, OK and to this union six children were born David, Daniel, Velma, James, Robert, and Steven. The family lived in the panhandle of Texas and Oklahoma. She operated as a clerk for Follett Grocery Store for 20 plus years. In her spare time, Bobby enjoyed Crocheting, making jewelry, and cooking.

Bobby is preceded in death by her husband James Shawn, parents Johnnie and Beatrice Bruno, 3 sisters Mildred Flynn, Dorothy Hammons, Jenny Winsor, brother J.B. Bruno and grandson Daniel Shawn.

She is survived by her children David Shawn and wife Diane of Gage, OK, Daniel Shawn of Gage, OK, Velma McQuitty and husband Devin of Minneola, KS, James Shawn and wife D’Lynda of Taloga, OK, Robert Shawn of Elk City, OK, and Steve Shawn and wife Tina of Joshua, TX; two sisters Ruby Withrow and Teresa Hudson both of Shawnee, OK; twenty three grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
