James E. Shannon

James E. Shannon
November 3, 1935 ~ April 12, 2021

James E. Shannon was born in 1935 to L.E. and Pink Shannon.

He graduated from Northeastern University and entered in the army serving in the intelligence branch of U.S Air Defense.

After leaving the service, Ernie started as a Fortran Programmer in the early days of computing and had many significant accomplishments. He spent 36 years with Phillips 66 climbing the ladder to Service Information Manager and retired to spend time enjoying his favorite pastime of Golf.

He and his wife Kay, lived in Norway the last four years, at which time they were able to travel across Europe, experiencing life together.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Kay, their son, Scott and wife Marilyn; his sister, Mary Catherine and Eldon Brashear; Nieces, Sharla and Mark Hodges, Christy and Terry Ford, Janet and Mike Metcalf; nephew, Barry and Valerie Cosby.
