Mary Elizabeth Hensley Shaffer

Dec. 21, 1914 ~ March 16, 2002

SHAMROCK - Mary Elizabeth Hensley Shaffer, 87, died Saturday .

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Eleventh St. Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Switzer officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Shaffer was born . She had lived in the Shamrock area most of her life and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995; and a son, William Morris, in 1976.

Survivors include four sons, Wesley Jay Shaffer of Clayton, Okla., Gilbert Earl Shaffer of Norman, Okla., Kenneth Charles Shaffer and John Phillip Shaffer, both of Shamrock; three daughters, Billie Ruth Kasid and Mary LaVerne Cain, both of Amarillo, and Nelda Jo Poole of Shamrock; two sisters, Maxine Pittser of Santa Anna, Calif., and Opal Perkins of Sedalia, Mo.; 22 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Eleventh St. Baptist Church building fund in Shamrock.
