Sumalee (Rodthong) Shafer
April 8, 1945 ~ November 30, 2020

Sumalee Shafer, 75 year old Woodward resident, died Monday November 30, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel.

Sumalee Shafer was born on April 8, 1945 in Bangkok, Thailand to Mr. And Mrs. Jim Rodthong. Sumalee grew up in Bangkok and graduated high school from there. She was united in marriage to Edward Theodore Baldwin, Jr.

Sumalee worked at the Golden Corral as a salad bar lady, then began volunteering at the Woodward Hospital as a Pink Lady, which later became the Woodward Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed talking on the phone, going to the beach, and seeing her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Klages and husband Peter of Zebulon, North Carolina, Mary Rangel and husband Johnny of Hobart, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Alison and John McMican of North Carolina, Michael and Billie Rangel of Hobart, Oklahoma, Jonathan and Kristi of North Carolina, Andrew and Kaylee Rangel of Hobart, Oklahoma, Chris and Ryanne Rangel of Hobart, Oklahoma; and great grandchildren Eathan McMican, Eathan Beavers, Madison Beavers, Lucas McMican. Bryson Beavers, Axton Rangel, Hunter Rangel, Creek Rangel, Lacy Klages, Ellie Klages, Archer Rangel, Wyatt Rangel and Rhett Rangel.

Sumalee is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ed Baldwin.
