????~ February 14, 2021 |Age 47

Jeffrey L. Selman, age 47, son of Tom and Corene Selman, passed away following a lengthy illness on February 14, 2021, at OU Medical Hospital in Oklahoma City.

He attended grade school and high school in Woodward Public Schools. In his early teens, Jeff was the youngest to graduate from Yates Roping School and he and his brother, Justin, were team ropers in heading and healing. They did exhibition ropings at the Elks Rodeo in Woodward.

Jeff studied auto mechanics while in high school. He enjoyed working in fast food industries. After high school graduation, he was active in various positions in the oilfield. He enjoyed operating heavy equipment on road construction projects in Kansas and Oklahoma.

Jeff Selman is preceded in death by his father, Tom Selman, his grandparents, Bob and Wilma Selman, Jack and Mary Phelps, his Uncle Bill Phelps, and his Aunt Arlene (Phelps) Bussinger.

His survivors are: his mother, Corene Selman, brother, Justin (Stephanie) Selman of Woodward, Uncle Jerry Phelps of Ft. Dodge, Kansas, Uncle Will (Nadine) Phelps of Dodge City, Kansas, Aunt Marlene Phelps, Aunt Darlene (Marty) Drew of Buffalo, Oklahoma, and many cousins.

Cremation arrangements are being provided by Billings Funeral Home. Due to Covid issues, a private family gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
