Wilbur Lyn Scott
August 4, 1955 ~ February 21, 2019

 Wilbur Lyn Scott, son of Rufus Wilburn and Flossie Arevia (Meadors) Scott, was born August 4, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas and departed this life to be with our Lord on February 21, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years.

Lyn loved visiting and making new friends everywhere he went and thoroughly loved living at the Stilwell Senior Housing Center. He gained a lifetime of friendships with his neighbors and especially enjoyed Sunday church services under the teaching of Theresa Latta and friends. He loved his children and he would light up with joy every time any of his grandchildren came to visit. He would often talk of how thankful he was to have his siblings who loved and looked alter him. He was a mechanic by trade and loved anything cars. Lyn also considered all women beautiful but most of all he loved Jesus because Jesus first loved him.

Lyn was preceded in death by his parents; Rufus Wilburn Scott and Flossie Arevia Vaughan and brother; David Scott.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his children; Jennifer Lowery and husband Michael of Farmington, Ark., Joshua Scott of Prairie Grove, Ark., six grandchildren; Jordan, Jasmine, Jericho, Levi, Noah and Luke. Siblings; Chester Scott and wife Kathy, Dorothy Roberts and husband Dave, Dixie Hawkins and husband Larry, Emmett Scott, mother of his children; Deanna Doshier, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Anthony Bellamy officiating. Interment followed at Sharps Cemetery, Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
