Tammy (Cooper) Schortemeier

Tammy Schortemeier was born April 17, 1974 in Elk City, Oklahoma to JoAnn and John Cooper. She passed away August 23, 2014 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 40 years, 4 months and 6 days.

Tammy grew up in Elk City and attended school at Merritt. After leaving school she started her family with Jessica in November of 1991. Shortly thereafter she met and was eventually was married to Donald Edwin Schortemeier at Elk City, OK on April 9, 1994. After their marriage, they made their home in Elk City until moving to Michigan in 2000 following Donald's work. In 2005 they moved to Missouri and in October of 2006 they returned to Elk City where they've made their home. Tammy enjoyed mudding, 4-wheeling, arts, crafts and making baby shower cakes.

She was preceded in death by her father and 1 daughter Jessica Ann.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, 3 children, Kristofer Schortemeier, Trevor Schortemeier, Takila Schortemeier, all of the home; her mother, JoAnn Dixon, Elk City, OK; 1 sister, Kimberly Louis and husband, David, Hammon, OK; 2 brothers, John Cooper and wife, Paula, Elk City, OK; Sherman Cooper, Sherman, TX; very close and true friends, Melissa Cupp-Hayes, Pauline "Pooh" Cottrill, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
