Harold Gene Schonfield was born October 23, 1940 to Albert and Eula Schonfield just North of Bristow, Oklahoma. He departed this life December 31, 2024 at the age of 84.
Harold, or “Pee Wee” as everyone knew him, was a lifelong Bristow area resident. He attended Pinehill School right up until about the 8th grade when he began working with his dad in the lumber business. He met his wife Linda in grade school. Pee Wee had tied her hair to the bus seat. She married him for revenge October 31, 1959. Three children were born to this union. Darrell, Vicky and Michael. Harold was no stranger to work, he provided for his family driving a truck for his business Schonfield Sand and Gravel but mostly, just hard work. Harold was a strong man, remarkable in the way he provided not only for his family but many others who may have been in need. He was a friend to all and would often talk as long as you would let him. Harold loved being outdoors working cows and fishing. Noodling was more his thing. Known by all by his overalls. He never passed up a chance at a great deal or auction find.
Harold is survived by his children, Darrell Schonfield and wife Charlene, Vicky Hamilton, Michael Schonfield and wife Keli; sister in law, June Schonfield; brother in law, Gerald Trout; ten grandchildren, Angela Burgett and husband John, Kyle Schonfield and wife Jessica, Nathan Schonfield and wife Jennifer, Tiffany Little and husband Blake, Buddy Buff, Cody Hamilton, Lucy Schonfield, Lynzie Schonfield, JoAnn Schonfield, Cole Schonfield and niece, Sara Shamise and husband Jason; nephew, Craig Hall as well as 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Linda; brothers, Jerry and Bill and one granddaughter, Kayla Buff.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in Bristow, OK
