June 16, 1974 ~ 2020

Wayne Lee Schollenbarger was born June 16, 1974, in Alva, Oklahoma, and graduated from Alva High School in 1993. Wayne will always be remembered as a hard worker, a lover of travel, and a dedicated friend and partner to those closest to him.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Don and Margaret Schollenbarger; his fiance, Debbie Richardson; stepfather John Krob; brother Kenny Schollenbarger and wife Star; stepbrother Darrell Roberts and wife Diana; stepbrother Chris Polzin and wife Anita; stepbrother Kurt Krob and wife Brandi; aunt Glenda Ellyson and husband Jimmie; uncle Larry Rogers and wife Shellie; aunt Cindy Hennigh and husband Kyle; and four nieces, Makinna Schollenbarger, Marlee Schollenbarger, Emily Roberts and Hannah Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Krob, and his grandparents, Wayne and Arlene Rogers and Lee and Pauline Schollenbarger.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020. Location is 6 N. College, Alva, Oklahoma, home of Don and Margaret Schollenbarger.

Wayne Lee Schollenbarger
June 16, 1974 ~ June 12, 2020

Born to Don and Linda Schollenbarger on June 16, 1974, left this life and entered Heaven June 12, 2020. Wayne grew up in Alva, OK, graduating from Alva High in 1993. He went on to OSU Okmulgee graduating with an associates degree in 1995. He then became owner of The Canvas Shop in Lake Texhoma and later a long distance truck driver across the U.S. and Canada.

In 2014, Wayne met the love of his life, best friend and soulmate, Debbie Richardson. They set out on many adventures together including team driving. They supported each other through all life's challenges.

Wayne was a fearless hiker and explorer. Wayne's love of travel and adventure brought him to the Pacific Crest Trail where he hiked 500 miles completing a lifelong dream. He loved nature and animals. His kindness and crazy love of life and family was only exceded by his humor and laughter he brought to all who knew him.

Taken from this life too soon, he was reunited with his loving mother Linda (Krob), grandmother "Granny" Arlene Rogers, grandpa and namesake Wayne Rogers.

Wayne is survived by his beloved Debbie, his father and step-mom Don and Margaret Schollenbarger of Alva, Step-father John Krob of Alva, his older brother and sister-in-law Kenny and Star Schollenbarger of Enid, Aunt "Sis" Glenda and Uncle Jimmie Ellyson of Kingfisher, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Kyle Hennigh of May, Uncle Larry and Aunt Shellie Rogers of May, his close nieces Makinna and Marlee Schollenbarger of Enid. His cousins Jesse, Emma, Carrie, Kaleb and Levi AKA The Wild Bunch. Extended family Step-brother Kurt and Brandi Krob of Amarillo, TX. Step-brother Darrell and Diana Roberts of El Paso, TX. Step-brother Christopher and Anita Polzin of Tulsa and Wayne's beloved pet Boomer the dog. He is survived by many other family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Wayne's memory on June 27, 2020, in Alva, Ok beginning at 12:00 with food served at 2:00. Please contact family for details.
