February 9, 1928 ~ July 4, 2017

Jerry Lee Savage, age 89, husband of Ramona Savage, residents of Bartlesville since 1952, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Bartlesville Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Stumpff Funeral Home.

Jerry was born in Osage County, near Shilder and Grainola, on February 9, 1928, to Don Clark Savage and Grace Lucille (Northcutt) Savage.

He received his education in Osage County, graduating from Shidler High School in 1945.

Jerry worked for H.C. Price Co. as a mechanical draftsman from 1945 through September 1948. He later worked as a highway designer for Oklahoma and New Mexico Highway Departments. Mr. Savage came to work at Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville in August 1952, working in the Engineering Department. He retired from Phillips in May, 1986. He later worked for Services and Technology for 1 ½ years.

Jerry Lee Savage married Ramona Pearl Coker on September 28, 1949, at Shilder, Oklahoma.

Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church, Bartlesville. He served as a deacon, worked in the Church's Bus Ministry and taught Children's Sunday School. He also served on various deacon committees. Jerry served for a time with Boy Scout Troop 11, sponsored by the Church.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 67 years; two sons, Jerl Wayne (Dea Ann) of Oklahoma City and Trent Bradley (Carla) of Ponca City, Oklahoma; one daughter Karen Sue Oliver (Shawn) of Conway, Arkansas; one sister Delma Reinhart (James) of Enid, Oklahoma; one niece Jaymie Morley (David) also of Enid; four grandchildren, Erik Oliver (Christie) of Conway, Arkansas, Nicole Duerson (Drew) of Suffolk, Virginia, Rachel Schwegal (Brian) of Moore, Oklahoma and Laura Savage of Oklahoma City and eight great grandchildren, Jayden, Macie and Sadie Oliver, Cadence and Carl Drew Duerson, Jacob and Jonas Schwegal and Aria Puentes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.
