Sequoyah Sanders

September 5, 1961 ~ April 16, 2019

Sequoyah Sanders, the son of Charles and Faye (Dellinger) Sanders, was born September 5, 1961 in Elkhart, Kansas and passed from this life on April 16, 2019 at his home in Bunch, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, 7 months and 11 days.

Sequoyah lived most of his life in Oklahoma and made his home in the Bunch area since 1995. He was married to Carolyn Williams on April 15, 2017. Sequoyah enjoyed carving, raising rabbits and hunting. He also loved fishing and was a member of the “Fish All You Can Club”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Claude Sanders and sisters Malleah Sanders and Sue Morphis.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving family which includes his wife Carolyn Sanders of the home; his children Carrie Gonzales and husband Dennis of Cherry Tree, OK, Katrisha Gutierrez of Tahlequah, OK, Jimmie Lynn Garay of Stilwell, OK, Gary Morphis and wife Kelly, Jasi Garay of Bunch, OK; siblings Vinnie Sanders of Wichita, KS, Mark Sanders from Maud, OK and Charlis Williams of Bonham, TX; grandchildren Nicole Kobe, Megan, Alex, Ana, Jesus, Emilee, Jaylan, Yolanda, Elizabeth, Genia Kristian, and great-grandchildren Eboni and Jax.

A Celebration of life will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Lyon Switch Community Center with Bro. Bill Sanders and Bro. Donnie Sanders officiating. Final arrangements were entrusted to Hart Funeral Home.
