Ronnie Dean Salyers, Sr.

Ronnie Dean Salyers, Sr.
April 19, 1951 ~ April 19, 2026

Ronnie Dean Salyers, Sr. was born on April 19, 1951, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Edward and Lorene (Eastom) Salyers. He departed this life on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at his home at the age of 75 years. Ronnie grew up in the Alsuma area near Tulsa and attended school in the Union school district. He later answered the call to serve his country, proudly serving in the United States Army. Ronnie spent much of his working years in the plumbing trade, dedicating many years to Salyers Plumbing.

On January 4, 2004, Ronnie married the love of his life, Lahoma Rae Edwards, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The couple had shared several years together prior to their marriage. Together, they made their home in several communities including Tulsa, Inola, Coweta, and Locust Grove.

Ronnie was a man who truly lived life to the fullest. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Tulsa and enjoyed spending time at various clubs and bars throughout the Tulsa area. He found great joy in playing pool, fishing, hunting, swimming, and taking his boat out on the lake. Some of his happiest moments were spent outdoors, grilling and cooking for family and friends or enjoying time at the lake with loved ones. He also had a passion for coaching wrestling and took pride in mentoring others. Ronnie enjoyed shooting his guns. He especially treasured the time he spent with his beloved wife, Lahoma, and their special time together.

Known for his lively spirit, Ronnie was a jokester and a true character who was always up to something. He had a generous heart, a deep love for people, and a way of bringing laughter wherever he went. His presence was often at the center of activity, and he will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Ronnie is survived by: his wife, Lahoma, of the home; 2 sons: Ronnie Dean Salyers II of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and Emmit Allen Salyers and Kim of Ponder, Texas; 1 daughter: Elisha Dolbow of Bixby, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren with 1 more on the way; 2 sisters: Sharon Dishman of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Shiela Cochran and husband George of Oaks, Oklahoma; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lorene Salyers; two brothers, Billy Ray Salyers and Emmit Darel Salyers; and two sisters, Janet Quinalty and Trishie Jones.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., April 27, 2026, at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel, with Allen Salyers officiating. Cremation services have been entrusted to Locust Grove Funeral Home.
