William H. Salyards

January 20, 1922 ~ July 28, 2004

William H. Salyards Was born January 20, 1922 in William, Oklahoma and died July 28, 2004, in Wasco, CA.

Bill was a World War II Veteran, and a farmer during his life.

He had 4 boys and 3 girls, David W. Salyards of Wasco, California; Margie Ann Berry of Charleston, Arkansas; Billie Faye Marsh of Thornton, Colorado; Gary Gene Salyards of Mountain View, Missouri; Larry Dale Salyards of Wasco, California; Frank Salyards of Bakersfield, California; four sisters, Hazel Gibson of St. Helens, Oregon; Jewel Taylor of Stigler, Oklahoma; Edna Coble of Shafter, California; Helen Wheeler of Evening Shade, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren; 3 daughters-in-law, Gwen Salyards of Wasco, California; Gail Salyards of Wasco, California; Pattie Salyards of Bakersfield, California; 2 sons-in-law, Buster Berry of Charleston, Arkansas; Willie Marsh of Thornton, Colorado.

Preceded in death by his wife, Ivaleen; daughter, Sharon Higginson; 3 grandchildren, Jason Salyards, and Scott Robbins; sister, Betty Adkinson; brother, Albert Salyards; mother and father, Francis Lee and Doshie Leon Salyards.

A special thank you to Aunt Beachie for all the care she gave Dad during his last days.

Viewing will be Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1, from 2-8 p.m., at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco, California. Graveside services will be Monday, August 2, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Wasco Cemetery.

There will be a celebration of Bill's life following the services on Monday at his home in Wasco, California.
