Paul “Paulie” Saliba, 80, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma. He was born August 21, 1944, to Fred and Amelia Saffa Saliba in Drumright, Oklahoma. On August 25, 1968, he married the love of his life Nancy VanGieson Phillips in Cushing, Oklahoma.
His passions were consistently demonstrated in his love to family and to serve great steaks to his community and surrounding areas at Freddie’s Steak House in Drumright, which he owned and operated with Nancy for 43 years. He enjoyed work and family and loved getting to talk with his customers when he finished cooking. He loved to travel, ride his Harley, and take his dog, Ashley, to run errands. His smile was infectious and even more so, his laugh. He and Nancy were so proud of their children and grandchildren and never met a stranger. The legacy created for family and Freddie’s has made a huge impact on many hearts and lives. Paul will be remembered for always having a place to gather, be embraced with love and hospitality and enjoying great food.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, his two children, Dana Saliba of Owasso; Brian and Joie Saliba of Stillwater; four grandsons: Gabriel and fiancé Caitlin, Bryson, Kaden and Asher, one sister Sandy and Glenn Johnston of Mannford, two brothers Don and Mildred Saliba of Mustang and Rick and Jerry Saliba of Mannford, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; mother and father-in-law, and two brothers, Denny Saliba and Freddie K Saliba.
