M Fern (Murray) Selsor Ryel

March 13, 1922 ~ August 31, 2015

Graveside services for M. Fern (Murry) Selsor Ryel from LaCrosse, Kansas, formerly Kiowa, Kansas will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery.

Fern was born March 13, 1922, in Avard, Oklahoma, to Marion Maxwell Murray and Lillie Belle Sims Murray and passed from this life on August 31, 2015, in La Crosse, Kansas. She was a graduate of Avard High School. She married Fred E. Selsor. She was a five-year resident of La Crosse, Kansas, moving from Kiowa. She was a member of First Christian Church and VFW Post 5982 Ladies Auxiliary in Kiowa.

Those who preceded Fern in death include her parents; husband, Fred E. Selsor; her sisters, Loretta Sims, Opal Unruh and Margaret Haltom; and her brother, Arnold Sims.

Survivors include children Billy Joe Selsor of Kiowa and Sue (Esteban) Castaneira of La Crosse; grandchildren Jason Johnson and Tiffany Stroede of Russell, Kansas; Justin Castaneira of Bullhead City, Arizona; and Stephanie Castaneira of La Crosse, Kansas; great grandchildren MaKenzie Braun of Ness City, Kansas; Dustin Castaneira, Zachary Thiel and Dominic Castaneira all of La Crosse; and Alexis Johnson of Russell, Kansas; sisters Flossie Dominick and Shirley Haltom and husband Gerald of Alva.

Memorials may be given to Kiowa Christian Church through the funeral home.
