James (Jim) D. Russell, 86 of Bartlesville Oklahoma passed away peacefully on February 18th in the Brookdale Nursing Home in Owasso, Oklahoma. Jim was born on October 10th, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Noel F Rusell and Gertrude C McLaughlin.
Jim married Linda A Russell on November 17th, 1973. They were married for 49 years. They welcomed two daughters, Tammy and Missy. Linda passed away on March 22nd, 2023.
During his 86 years on this earth Jim had many accomplishments. He graduated from Illinois State University with an associate’s degree in IT/ computer programming. Jim was drafted in the United States AirForce and served his country from 1959-1965. Upon retirement Jim was ranked as a Staff Sergeant.
Jim enjoyed many hobbies some including play golf and cards, Watching the
Kansas City Chiefs, and KU basketball. Jim was in the rotary club and Jay
Cees in Bartlesville. He also loved singing in the choir at the First
Wesleyan Church.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, Noel Russell,
Mother, Gertrude McLaughlin, Brothers, Noel and Joe Russell, Sister,
Anastasia Russell, and Wife, Linda Russell
Jim is survived in death by his daughters, Tammy Hillis (husband Stacey Hillis) and Missy Hunninghake (husband Gabe Hunninghake, grandchildren, Skyler Storm (husband Blayke Storm), Addison Wilkins (husband Chace Wilkins), Macey Denham (husband Micah Denham), Aaron Hunninghake, and Blaine Hunninghake, great grandchildren- Hallie Storm, Ryker Storm, Grayton Wilkins, Goldie Wilkins.
