David Anthony "Snapper" Russell
November 9, 1956 ~ April 20, 2021

David “Snapper” Anthony Russell departed this life on April 20, 2021. David was the 10th of 13 children born to Robert E. Russell Jr and Lois Inez Morgan Russell on November 9, 1956 in Houston, Texas.

David enjoyed being outside especially hunting and fishing. He loved being around his grandkids, they were the light of his life. David was had a great sense of humor, Always making people laugh and feel right at home when they were around. He had been in millwork and construction for many years and retired from that type of work. David was also a very active member at the Church of Christ in Stroud, taking pleasure in helping the community and serving the Lord.

David is survived by his son Jacob Russell and wife Chelesa; his daughter Brittany Russell; his grandchildren Gavin, Miah and Walker Russell; his siblings Bill Russell and wife Frances, Jed Russell and wife Robin, Bruce Russell, Kelley Russell and wife Renee, Marie Shephard, Betty Cox and husband Lewis, Inez Frye and husband Claude, Roberta Fregia and husband Tommy, Sue Wille and husband Harold, Annette Chambers, and Caroline Russell; as well as many extended family and friends.

David is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Russell.

A Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Stroud Church of Christ. Condolences may be offered online at http://www.parksbrothers.net.
