Clifford Ray Rusco

Clifford Ray Rusco
September 30, 1939 ~ September 15, 2021

Clifford was born, the second of six children, to Dwight Hayes Rusco and Ruth Alma Kincaid Rusco east of Stillwater Oklahoma.

Clifford started school at the Eden Center Country School northeast of Stillwater. When the family moved to Major County Oklahoma, he attended Fairview Schools. After his time in the military, he returned to Major County working at several jobs as an equipment operator.

Upon his marriage to Nica Maurine Luinstra Cayot, he gained not only a loving wife, but six children and their families. Cliff loved life and being a part of that family.

He loved animals especially the stray cats he fed for years and the birds. He was especially proud of his beautiful flowering almond and his plum trees he grew from tiny sticks. He collected toys and Angel figurines and his face lit up with an ear-to-ear grin when he had a new acquisition to show off.

In later years Maurine's health deteriorated and he took care of her in their home even with his own health issues until a few months ago when she had to be hospitalized then moved to a nursing home. They have never wanted to be apart, so he decided to move to the nursing home to be with her.

He passed away after a short illness leaving his loving wife, Maurine; two sisters, Grace Margaret Cates of Mannford and Alice Faye Rosamond of Grand Saline, Texas; two brothers, Jerry Rusco of Weatherford and Earl Dwight Rusco of Decatur, Illinois; three stepsons, Everett Cayot of Canton, Wayne Cayot and wife, Mary Jo of Okeene, and John Cayot and wife, Xylia of Fairview; two stepdaughters, Marilyn Cayot of Ardmore and Martha Brown and husband, Percy of Cleo Springs; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Ruth Alma Rusco; his sister, Edith Ada Rusco, and his stepdaughter, Barbara Jean Focht.

Service for Cliff will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Helena. Viewing will be 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. before the service on Saturday. Services are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
