Donald Rupe

Jan. 8, 1935 ~ Feb. 26, 2004

A memorial service will be held for Donald Rupe on Saturday, March 6, at Coronado Baptist Church, 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jack Lee will officiate.

Donald was born on January 8, 1935, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as the oldest of 15 children. He passed away on February 26, 2004, in Bakersfield. He served in the Army for two years, from 1956 - 1958, and worked as a roustabout in the oil fields. He was married to his wife, Nanette, for 48 years. From this marriage came 9 children, sons, Robert, Ricky and Ronald; daughters, Vickie Eddowes, Donna Lopez, Andrea Moody, Patricia Kirk and Janine Addington. One son, Michael, preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren and friends.
