Barbara Ruth Rowland

October 16, 1936 ~ February 18, 2005

Barbara passed away peacefully February 18, 2005, in Arvin, CA at age 69. She was born in Gans, OK, October 16, 1936. She moved to Arvin in 1954 with her mother and siblings. Barbara returned to Oklahoma and Texas before making Arvin her permanent home in 1978.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Hicks and nephew Derek Toler.

 Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Howard; her only son Howard Jr.; three grandchildren Jessica, Jared, and Cole; brother Bob Wortheam of Sallisaw, OK.; sister Peg Edgemond and husband Clyde of Sallisaw OK.; brother James Hicks and wife Sandra of Arvin, CA; sister Marilyn Toler and husband Tommy of Cooksen, OK.; sister-in-law Lucille England of California; brother-in-law Don Rowland and wife Ann of Lake Isabella, CA; brother-in-law Tommy Rowland and wife Janice of Las Vegas, NV; nieces Debbie Hood of OK., Tonya Zeibol of MN, and Susan Williams of CO; nephews Craig and Drew Edgemond of OK.

She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Barbara was a devoted member of the Arvin First Southern Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., February 26, 2005 at Arvin First Southern Baptist Church, 763 Laurel St., Arvin, CA.

The family gives special thanks to Optimal Hospice for their loving care.
