Susie Sears Robinson

August 3, 1957 ~ December 14, 2007

Susie Sears Robinson died 14 December 2007 from accidental carbonmonoxide poisoning at age 50.

Susie lived in Oklahoma City during her youth and young adult years.

She attended schools at Western Oaks and Putnam City West.

Susie, with her outgoing personality, made many friends during those years, then moved to Tulsa nearly 20 years ago. Susie lived life to the fullest. She never met a stranger and had a generous heart.

Susie loved to garden and loved her dogs.

She and her mother, Carlene McCoy, were best friends.

Susie served in the US Army and was deployed to Iraq during Desert Storm, where she served her country until she was unfortunately injured and had to return to the States. Because of her military experience and war related disability, she dedicated the past 13 years of her life to various veteran causes.

Because of Susie's disability, she made many visits to the VA hospital, where she witnessed, first hand, the deplorable conditions her fellow veterans had to endure. As a female veteran, Susie spoke up for all veterans who felt defeated by the bureaucratic process.

Susie's devotion and strong will heled her colleagues navigate the system. Thanks Susie.

Susie is survived by her best friend and mother, Carlene McCoy, stepfather, Jim McCoy, brother, Jeff Sears, sister, Lisa Thompson, all of Tulsa, her father Darrell Sears and grandmother, Opal Sears of Oklahoma City, her half sister, Ashlee Sears of Lawrence, KS, her Uncle Ted of Hinton, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
