Robert Allen "Rob" Robinson

February 27, 1959 ~ May 15, 2017

Robert "Rob" A. Robinson, age 58, passed away on May 15, 2017 in his home surrounded by friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Short officiating.

Rob was born on February 27, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas to James and Ethel (Buntt) Robinson. On April 14, 1979, Rob married the love of his life, Debbie Schmidt. They recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary.

Rob supported his family by working as a Greens Superintendent at Wentz golf course and an operator for Sentinel Transportation, until his illness prevented him from working.

Rob excelled in every sport he pursued. He enjoyed playing football and basketball, bowling, playing for the American Legion Baseball team, and he enjoyed coaching his daughter's softball team. Rob also participated in Stock Car Racing in the Mini Stock class and was awarded "Rookie of the Year" and point champion during his years of racing. Rob also partook in jackpot and tournament fishing. In his spare time he took pleasure in spending time with his daughter and went on many deer hunting trips. Bird hunting, trapping and fishing brought Rob many delights. Rob's granddaughter, Caitlynn was the highlight of his life and he greatly enjoyed attending her dance recitals and watching her participate in her cheer competitions.

Rob is survived by wife, Debbie Robinson of Ponca City, OK, daughter, Crystal Robinson of Ponca City, OK, granddaughter Caitlynn Robinson of Ponca City, OK, mother, Ethel Robinson of Ponca City, OK, sister, Nell Depperschmidt of Ponca City, OK, sister, Kathy Pappan and husband Roger of Ponca City, OK, daughters-in-heart, Cary McClure of Burbank, OK, and Angie McGaha of Ponca City, OK, sister-in-law, Donna Fulson of Ponca City, OK, sister-in-law, Vickie Schmidt and Joe Chamberlain of Ponca City, OK and several nieces and nephews.

Rob is preceded in death by his father, James "Jim" Robinson, uncle, Jimmy Franklin Robinson, mother-in-law, Lois Schmidt, father-in-law, Albert Schmidt as well as his grandparents and daughter-in-heart, Tiffany Albers.

Family will be at 200 East Riverview Rd, in Ponca City, OK. The Robinson family has set up an account at Go Fund Me if you would like to contribute a donation.
