Gail McCurtain Robinson,Died at home in Laguna Hills on March 5, 2005. She was 67. Born on June 17, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was adopted by Randolph Green and Eloise Evans McCurtain of the Choctaw and Potawatomi Indian Tribes in Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO), which in 1959 was the Oklahoma College for Women, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She moved to southern California in 1960 to pursue a teaching career, where she met her husband, David Alexander Robinson, who died in 1982. Gail's son, Dana Alexander Robinson, died in 1990 at the age of 28.

Gail is survived by her daughter, Randi Shawn Stellar (husband David), and grandson, Alexander David Stellar, of Cardiff by the Sea, California; and a brother, Michael McCurtain of Kansas City.

Gail worked for 25 years as an office administrator for Drs. Hunter, Schuetz and Lenthall, whose practice was largely comprised of Leisure World residents. She was well-known and loved by many of the patients over the years. Gail was an avid reader, she would read the Los Angeles Times daily from cover to cover, and then complete the crossword puzzle in pen!

A burial at sea memorial is planned for Friday, April 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Dana Point Harbor, with Celebration of Life to follow. Please contact Randi Stellar at email: friendsofGailRobinson@cox.net if interested in attending. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Gail's memory to the American Cancer Society.
