Elsa Mae (Jensen) Roberts
August 26, 1941 - November 4, 2012

Elsa Mae Roberts, 71, of Ponca City, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Ponca City Medical Center.

Mae was born on August 26, 1941 in Venus, TX to Erhardt and Ella Johnson Jensen.

Mae moved to Ponca City as an infant, graduated Ponca City High School and was a veteran of the US Army serving from Aug 1959 to Dec. 1961. Mae was married to William Leon Phipps on Oct. 16, 1964 he passed away on Sept. 8, 1968. Mae then married Richard Warren Roberts on Nov. 18, 1968 he passed away March 3, 2003. Mae was also preceded in death by her parents, Brother Lee Jensen, Nephews Charles Lee Hudson and James Slavin and a Niece Debbie Sanders.

Mae had worked for CONOCO as a key punch operator and then a Supervisor. She would go by T.G. Y. to pick up material and make her a pantsuit to wear to work the next day.

Mae is survived by Brother E.J. Jensen, Sisters and Brothers-in-aw Barbara and Charles Hudson, Ila and Kenneth Slavin and V. Jean Dougherty all of Ponca City. 31 Nieces and 25 Nephews. Also surviving is her beloved Chihuahua Starlet.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the American Legion Huff Minor Post 14, 407 W. South Ave. Ponca City, OK with Chaplain Larry Grant, presiding.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Rain Drops Pregnancy Child Loss, 102 N. Second, Ponca City, OK 74601 or to Ponca City Humane Society, 900 W. Prospect, Ponca City, OK 74601.
