Paul Wayne Ritchie
May 14, 1927 ~ July 28, 2009

Paul Wayne Ritchie went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 28, 2009. He was born May 14, 1927 to Lee and Dora Ritchie is Stilwell, OK.

Paul attended Stilwell Schools. He was very active in sports and played college football at Eastern A&M and Panhandle State University where he met the love of his life, Dorothy Pickard. They were married May 18, 1950. After military service he coached and taught school in the Texas panhandle. He enjoyed several years with the students of Highland Park and River Road school districts. In 1995 Paul and Dorothy moved to Cedar Valley, OK where he enjoyed golfing and the many friends they made there. Paul had a very personal relationship with Jesus Christ as his Savior and he and Dorothy enjoyed attending Harmony Community Church. His love of life and laughter will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy of the home; one brother Ed Ritchie and wife Joy; one sister Delores Milton and husband Tom; three sisters-in-law Jean Zabel and husband Clarence, Lois Demetro and husband Phil, and Patty Boston and husband Bob; and 14 nieces and nephews.

Memorial service for Paul will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Harmony Community Church, Guthrie, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Memorials may be made in memory of Paul Ritchie to Panhandle State Foundation (Athletic Scholarship Fund), P.O. Box 420, Goodwell, OK 73939.
