Roger (Pee Wee) Rippetoe passed away Monday morning, October 28, 2019 at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 22 days in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Roger was born June 6, 1945 to his parents Jap and Lillian (Blankenship) Rippetoe in Sayre, Oklahoma.
Roger graduated from Carter High School, he attended Delhi school systems as well. He married in Oklahoma City and resided there for some time. Lubbock, Texas was called home for some time as well. Roger worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed collecting scrap metal, catching and wrangling rattle snakes and gardening. Roger’s favorite hobby was making money.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jap and Lillian Rippetoe; sisters, Shirley Barker, Mary Jo Cavanaugh; son-in-law, Clifford Wilson.
Roger is survived by 1 son, Kevin Rippetoe of Del City, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Tonya Wilson of North Olmsted, Ohio, Amber Duke and husband John of Austin, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Cole, Georgia Wilson, and Arabella Allen; 6 sisters, Pat Simpson and husband Roger of Carter, Oklahoma, Kathy Moore and husband Rocky of Yukon, Oklahoma, Phyllis Ward and husband Randy of Jal, New Mexico, Jan Helling of Elk City, Oklahoma, Sharon Jones of Elk City, Oklahoma, Martheia Simpson and husband Bobby of Carter, Oklahoma; 4 brothers, Joel Rippetoe and wife Laveta of Sayre, Oklahoma, Larry Rippetoe and wife MarySue of Carter, Oklahoma, Gary Rippetoe and wife Nelda of Willow, Oklahoma, J.B. Rippetoe and wife Jane of Carter, Oklahoma, as well as many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Carter First Baptist Church with pastors John Rodgers and Jase Hargrove officiating.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Rose Chapel, Sayre.
