Thank You For Your Service!

Eugene C. Rinn

July 13, 1925 ~ 2006

Gene Rinn was born July 13, 1925, in Chickasha and has lived here all his life except for the two years he and his wife lived in Long Beach, California. He was the second son born to Susie Dobbins and Edmond V. Rinn.

Gene served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, stationed in Hawaii at the gunnery base. Following his discharge he attended Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater for two years.

He and Wanda Raye Hickman were married on November 18, 1949 in Chickasha. He worked at the Chickasha Opportunity Workshop for a number of years and retired from the City of Chickasha in 1990.

Thus began their many years of extensive travel throughout the U.S. They looked forward every summer vacation time to traveling with their grandsons to places of their choice.

They made many new friends through their years of volunteer programs.

He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, E.V. Rinn Jr.; and an infant son, Scotty.

Gene is survived by his wife, Wanda; a daughter, Patty and husband Steve Shero, of Tucson, Arizona and daughter Vicki and husband Jim Odle, of Miami, Texas; five grandsons: Drew and Aaron Link and Peter, Jeremiah and Benjamin Voth; two great-grandsons; and five great-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to Chickasha Mobile Meals, 412 Fieldcrest; Chickasha, Ok. 73018 or to a charity of your choice.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral
