Shirley Ann (Beauchamp) Kuehn Richardson

June 3, 1939 ~ Nov. 18, 2017

Shirley Ann (Kuehn) Richardson entered Heaven's gates on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at the age of 78.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the Okarche First Baptist Church on Stroh Avenue. The service will be officiated by Shirley's pastor and long time friend, James Inman.

Shirley was born June 3, 1939 to Earl and Juanita (Forbes) Beauchamp in Kingfisher. She attended school in Kingfisher. In 1954, Shirley married Edward Kuehn and together they had eight children.

Shirley was a homemaker during the years her children were at home. She later went to work as a waitress at the Patio and Cattlemen's restaurants, worked in the meat department at Bill's IGA and then as an operator at Pioneer Telephone.

In 1979, Shirley established a home with Gene Richardson in Kingfisher before moving to their farm west of Lacey. They owned and operated Kingfisher Casing Pullers where Shirley worked in the office. Shirley loved life on the farm and her many, many pets and farm animals.

In 200, Shirley moved to Okarche where she became active in the First Baptist Church and helping with the elementary school. Shirley accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized on Aug. 13, 2000.

She loved crafts, word searches, OU Sooners and sharing stories of her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.

Shirley is survived by sisters Sandy Field of Granbury, Texas, and Kathy Russell and husband Jack of Loyal; brother Danny Burton of Enid; seven children, Earl (Ricky) Kuehn and wife Betty, Randy Kuehn and wife Taryn, Fred Kuehn and wife Betty and Brian Kuehn, all of Kingfisher, Brenda Duncan, Tracy Dunkin and husband Butch, all of Hennessey, Grant Kuehn and wife Liz of Okarche; and one stepson, Daryl Richardson of Kingfisher. She leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom she considered extended family.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, son Billy Kuehn, grandson Justin Kuehn, son-in-law Phil Duncan, stepdaughter Genee Richardson and brother-in-law Ervin Withrow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Okarche Youth Group Fund in Shirley's memory. Donations may be mailed to Okarche FBC, P.O. Box 637, Okarche, OK 73762.
