Services: Friday Aug. 29, 11:00 am

Services are scheduled for Friday, August 29, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in Jesse E.Cooley Chapel for J. C. Rhodes, 85, who died August 17, 2003. Rev. H.Calhoun will officiate. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held today in the Jesse E. Cooley Chapel, 1111 California Ave. beginning 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Rhodes, a native of Wewoka, Oklahoma, and a long time resident of Bakersfield, he leaves to cherish his memory his children, Edith Darden of Pixley, Ca., Hezekiah Rhodes of Seattle, Washington, Katie Darden, Calvin Rhodes, all of Bakersfield, Ca. and Alfred Rhodes of N. Carolina. 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
