Milynda Ann “Mindy” Rhoads, 55-year-old Pryor resident, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born on May 15, 1970, in Portland, Oregon to George Freeman Rhoads and VeNila Ann (Palmer) Rhoads. Mindy grew up and went to school in Pryor graduating in 1989. She later attended Vo-Tech for Health and Human Services and was awarded a Silver Medal by the state competition. Mindy worked most her life as a caregiver for Community Care and working with the physically challenged. She loved to help people of all walks of life, she continued to do so until her own physical ailments and cancer prevented her from doing so. Mindy never stopped her mission to help others, even when she became ill.
Preceding her in death was her dad George Rhoads, step-father, Lynn Davis, her brother, Randy Rhoads and grandfather, Kenneth Palmer.
The family includes her mother VeNila Davis, grandmother, Lila Palmer, sister, Katie Rhoads, her life partner, Mike Morton, her best friend, Christie Potarf, half-sisters, Brenda Faxon, and Wanda Davis, also numerous other relatives and friends.
The celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor, Pastor Mike Cox will officiate.
