Brad Reynolds, 65, passed away at his home in Enville Monday evening, February 10, 2014.
Brad and his wife Debbe moved from Northern California in 2004 to make their home in the community of Enville where they both were members of the Enville Volunteer Fire Department.
Brad served honorably with the 3rd Battalion 5th Marines, M Company in Vietnam from 1967-68 where he received three Purple Hearts for combat wounds, the last one so grievous he was medically retired from the Marine Corps in 1969. Despite his total and permanent service-connected disabilities, he was committed to helping veterans of all wars throughout the country cope with life after combat and with their VA benefits.
Brad graduated from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism/public relations at the age of 48, where he also worked out of HSU’s Office of Veterans Affairs helping veterans in their educational pursuits.
No funeral services are planned for Brad at this time, but his wife and close friends and neighbors plan to come together when the weather warms up for an informal backyard barbecue and potluck gathering to celebrate the life of one of America’s true heroes. Grateful thanks to all who have shared their love and support at this very difficult time.
Semper fidelis, Lance Corporal Brad Reynolds. Your war is finally over.
A picture of Mr. Reynolds is included with the obituary.
