Robert Glen “Bob” Reser Sr

Robert Glen “Bob” Reser Sr
November 24, 1941 ~ July 25, 2025

Robert “Bob” Glen Reser Sr of Collinsville Passed away on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the age of 83. Bob was born on November 24th, 1941 in Collinsville to Aval and Delva (Catlett) Reser. Bob attended Collinsville Schools then married his wife of 56 years, Sharon (Buck) Reser and had two sons.

Bob made his career as millwright and stationary engineer. He was an avid tinkerer, and mechanical and electrical problem solver. His curiosity of how something worked was his driving force, often taking apart items he had no use for, just to see a new mechanical process. In his early family life, his primary hobbies were building Harley’s to take trips with Sharon and Kart racing. Bob’s home club was the Tulsa Kart Club and he and his family also traveled extensively on the IKF and Kart series. There are too many accolades to list, club championships, series championships, even a state championship, but the one that always stayed on the wall was Bob and Wade’s “always late award” bestowed to them by TKC. If you knew Bob this was perfectly fitting, there was always one last thing to tinker with before heading to the track.

In retirement Bob turned to restoring antique engines. Old gasoline Maytag motors and Flywheel engines were among is favorites. He and his friends would make grand displays and take them to engine shows, eagerly awaiting to show a new generation how things worked “back in the day”. His garage was always open, but he had one rule if you brought him something to fix: you have to pay attention so you can fix it yourself the next time.

Bob’s family would like to also share that he knew his time was coming he told us all that he loved us, that he was blessed to live his life and given the opportunity he would not choose to have lived any other life. Essentially, giving us the tools to fix our broken hearts. He was loved and will be dearly missed.

Bob is survived by Sharon Reser of the home; 2 sons, Robert Glen Jr and wife Andrea and Wade Dee Reser; his sister, Mary Ruth Prager; his brother, Aval Dee Reser Jr and wife Tina; 2 grandchildren, Izzy Reser and Tobert Glen Reser III; A host of extended family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings, Richard and Sharrel.
