William Dale 'Bill' Reid

William Dale 'Bill' Reid
April 02, 1946 ~ February 03, 2018

William 'Bill' Dale Reid was born on April 2nd, 1946 to Dale Everett and Bonnie Lee (Hicks) Reid.  He was the oldest of 3 boys, and Steve Reid and Stan Reid rounded out the family.

He spent the majority of his time during his growing up years with his loving grandparents, Everett "Cheat-em" Noah and Eula (Richmond) Reid. He attended grade school and high school in Woodward, Oklahoma. He met the true love of his life Donna May Stuart and were later united in marriage on August 13th, 1964. Together they had one son and three daughters.

They made their home together in several locations, including Woodward, Rock Creek, KS, Fargo, OK, before settling in Mooreland, OK to raise their family on the family farm.  Bill was an avid amateur ham radio operator, storm chaser, and loved riding dune buggies at the Little Sahara.  Later in life, Bill and Donna moved to Vici, OK so Bill could work for Redden Enterprises.   Bill held multiple different jobs - the ice plant, truck driver, Reid Construction, Western Oklahoma Wholesales Antenna , K-101, to name a few before retiring from RSI, Inc.

Bill and Donna traveled many miles in their home on wheels, but always managed to land back home in Mooreland to see their growing family and play cards with their dear friends Duane and Ollie Henderson.

Their son, Dale E. Reid of Woodward blessed them with 3 grandchildren, Andrew D., Shelby D, and Casey.  Their daughter , Teri L. Reid and Ronnie (Irwin) of Mooreland, gave them their first grandson, Christopher L. Cottrill (whom will always hold a special place in their heart), and Aaron N. Mackey.  Denise R. Rockett, and husband Jeff, of Kingman, KS, blessed them with Kyle D., William C., and the all time favorite Donna 'Kate' Reid, and Conner and Kelsey Rockett.   The youngest daughter, Rhonda L. Dryden, and Rich of Vici, added their first granddaughter, Mykalia N., and then Brett A., and BreeAunna R. Dryden rounded out the mix.  Bill was proud of each and everyone of his grandchildren and they swelled his heart with pride to make him a great grandpa to 20 precious great grands.  His family includes brothers, Steve and wife Theresa Reid, Stan and wife Rhonda Reid,  multiple nieces and nephews,  2 sisters-in-law, and many others.

Bill left this entire family broken hearted on February 3rd, 2018, when he earned his wings and once again became the right hand man to his beloved grandfather, Everett Noah Reid.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, Aunt Betty and Uncle Ed Hicks, Uncle Chuck McGinn and a very special granddaughter-in-law Destiny Ward Reid and a great granddaughter, and multiple loved ones too numerous to mention.
