July 9, 1976 ~ March 17, 2021 (age 44)

LaCosta Rawls, 44, lifelong resident of Earlsboro, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.

She was born July 9, 1976 to Johnny Ray and Cindy LaVonne (Fuqua) Woods in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

LaCosta was raised in Earlsboro and graduated with the class of 1994 from Earlsboro High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from East Central University.

She married Brian Shad Rawls on June 28, 1997 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma.

LaCosta was employed with Chesapeake Energy for almost 20 years.

She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

LaCosta enjoyed gardening, and going to the lake with her family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and father-in-law, Dennis Rawls.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brian Shad Rawls of the home; 1 son, Brayden Rawls of the home; her parents, Johnny and Cindy Woods of Earlsboro; 1 sister and 1 brother-in-law, Crystal Lynn and Jack Pearson of Strothers, OK; 1 brother and 1 sister-in-law, Johnny Ray, Jr. and April Woods of Harrah, OK; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Troy “Pops” and Connie Rawls; 1 brother-in-law and 1 sister-in-law, Shane and Becky Rawls; and other extended family and friends.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
