Albert James Ranson, Sr.

Albert James Ranson, Sr.
November 27, 1932 ~ February 22, 2018

Albert James Ranson, Sr. finished this part of his adventure on February 22, 2018 while surrounded by his family in Lawton, OK.  Albert was born on November 27, 1932 in New Orleans, LA and was the youngest of six brothers.

He married Marilyn Lamb on December 16, 1955. Together, they raised three children: Julie, Jimmy, and Steven. He was adored by seven grandchildren (Jennie, Kimberly, Andrew, Susan, Shelby, David, and Heaven) and by his eight great-grandchildren.

He lived a life of quiet accomplishment and service. Never seeking attention for himself, he served such causes as the United States Air Force, the Knights of Columbus, the Mariposa Museum & History Center, and many others. Above all, he was wholly devoted to his family.

He will be laid to rest in his adoptive hometown of Mariposa, CA.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Mariposa Museum & History Center, 5119 Jessie St. Mariposa, CA 95338.
